Leeds forward to face tribunal

Leeds Rhinos forward Zane Tetevano will appear at an Operational Rules Tribunal on a Grade D charge of striking after his dismissal in Saturday’s Challenge Cup defeat at St Helens.

If found guilty, he could face a ban of between three and five matches.

Elsewhere, Warrington Wolves winger Tom Lineham has been handed a three-match penalty notice after a late hit during their match against Swinton Lions. The panel had concluded he had gone in recklessly with his elbow/forearm.

Also, Wigan Warriors forward Liam Byrne has been handed a one-match penalty notice for Dangerous Contact in their 26-0 win over York City Knights.

Wakefield Trinity’s Kelepi Tanginoa has also been given a one-match penalty notice after being charged with a high tackle during their 26-6 defeat against Catalans Dragons on Saturday.

Only one Championship player received a penalty notice; Swinton’s Deane Meadows received one match for a shoulder charge.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Giants forward Luke Yates and York’s Tyme Dow Nikau were both charged with Dangerous Contact, and a Shoulder Charge respectively. However, neither will face a ban.

Finally, three players were handed cautions. York’s James Green for Use of the Knees; Leigh Centurions’ Matty Gee for Dangerous Contact and Salford Red Devils’ Jack Wells for a Dangerous Throw.
