Lebanon star goes to hospital after throwing up during win over Ireland

Earlier today, Lebanon all but secured their place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup with a 32-14 win over Ireland.

The second half was quite even with Louis Senior claiming a second try after a lovely try for the Ireland winger at the end of the first half coupled with an Ed Chamberlain score on home turf,

However, it was too little too late as the Irish trailed 20-4 at the break after a Mitchell Moses masterclass in the first half helped along by fullback Jacob Kiraz who scored a lovely try from a Moses inside ball to claim Lebanon’s second to make it 14-0.

However, his afternoon was ended early as he probed in the second half only to fall and smack his head on Leeds Rhinos star Richie Myler’s knee.

Knocked out due to the contact, he was helped off the field.

He wasn’t the only one with Kayne Kalache also going off with a head injury. Though his coach Michael Cheika said he believes he’s alright, he confirmed that the fullback was sent to hospital as a precaution after he was sick following his withdrawal.

Not what you want to hear and everyone at Serious About Rugby League hopes that the Canterbury Bulldogs fullback is fit and well to help Lebanon in the games to come including a likely quarter-final clash with Australia.
