After yet another huge loss for Hull FC there have been more calls for major change at the club with fans taking to social media to vent their frustrations.
Hull FC will have been hoping to start strong and give themselves a platform to build upon but any hope of that was gone within 55 seconds when former Black and White scored after just 55 seconds.
That was the first of seven tries in the first half with Swift scoring a hat trick before Tui Lolohea bagged a brace in the second forty to condemn Tony Smith’s side to a 56-22 loss.
It marked the third time this season that Hull FC had been hit for a half-century and was the club’s fifth consecutive loss, the sole win coming against bottom-of-the-table London Broncos.
One positive that FC could take was that they were able to score four tries, as many as they had managed in their last three games, but it was no solace to Tony Smith who told BBC Humberside: “It’s one way of looking at it but not enough for me to go ‘yoo-hoo’ and jump through some hoops”.
It’s not just Tony Smith who isn’t jumping through hoops though with a large contingent of FC fans taking to social media to vent frustrations at the loss, the manner of it, and also the man in charge.
Hull FC fans call for ‘Smith out’ after shipping another 50+ points
Posts on X ranged from those who couldn’t help but laugh at the disappointment to posts of sheer anger and calls for ‘Smith out’, ironically the second day in a row that those posts have been sent following Leeds Rhinos’ fan reaction to their loss to Warrington.
One X user asked: “Are these Hull players professional Rugby League players or are they competition winners? It’s hard to tell at times.”
Ligi Sao was one of the players who came in for criticism with the forward being one of the senior members in what was a very youthful side, however, the Samoan international saw himself sin-binned twice.
That led to one fan arguing that Sao “will surely never play” for Hull FC again, whilst another couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing.
Ligi Sao will surely never play for this club again.

Sky Sports had estimated the salary spent by each Super League club with their calculations suggesting that Hull FC had spent just £1.8 million, a whole £300,000 below the salary cap which led to fans questioning the recruitment.
One fan asked: “Is the plan to save money when there’s no relegation? I really hope there is a plan but I think the fans are being taken for mugs. This is worse than the Hull Sharks days.”

Meanwhile, another surmised the situation as such: “So basically AP has instructed Tony Smith to simply fulfil fixtures. What a total embarrassment. Full cap spend my arse. He’s having us over isn’t he?”

Owner Adam Pearson continued to come in for questioning and calls to sell up with the current state of affairs labelled “embarrassing” by one fan.
Smith and Pearson it’s time to go. Embarrassing!

This is beyond a joke, Pearson sell the club, youre pathetic for allowing us to sink this low

Attention was also focused on Tony Smith with one fan promising a boycott until the Australian had left the role of head coach which was supported by another who suggested: “Fans should get up and leave at half time. That team doesn’t deserve the support.”
I’m officially boycotting until smith isn’t coaching

I’ll keep saying it every time How is Smith still in a job…. Loss after loss. No discipline. No creativity. No passion. We are not a competitive team…

The lack of defence saw more suggestions that Smith should be held accountable for the heavy defeats.
Hulls defence is worse than I’ve ever seen Rovers achieve
Ikahihifo must have broken 5 tackles on the kick off return. No protection for Charles from experienced pros either they want to be ashamed
Tony Smith is finished as well he can’t survive this

Thankfully for Hull FC fans, they won’t have to watch their side lose next week after having already crashed out of the Challenge Cup and that week off could allow for some much-needed rest and the possible return from injury for others.
Whilst that is a blessing, their next Super League fixture is far from a blessing as Tony Smith will have to take his side to St Helens to try and earn a win, an incredibly daunting task.

Hull fc are just shit they need to sort themselves out before they go onto the pitch so they have the power and energy. 20 minutes into the game they already need half time they need to get a move in and get into shape. They need a proper coach that at half time is gonna go into the changing rooms and tell them all the mistakes they have been doing and how to come round from that but instead we just probably sit their in silence to “think about our choices” that nots going to help we need to be stronger and better honestly we pay here for you so you need to put on a performance come on hull you can do a lot better than this. Just try.
