Warrington Wolves have confirmed that forward Joe Bullock has signed a new deal to remain at the Halliwell Jones Stadium until the end of the 2026 season.

Bullock’s deal will keep him with the club for a further two years beyond the end of this season and the 31-year-old has spoken on what a huge influence new head coach Sam Burgess was in his decision.

Warrington signed Joe Bullock from Wigan Warriors where he had spent three seasons but the Cumbrian native is now into his third season in Primrose and Blue, and is set to stay for a further two.

The club confirmed the news via a press release and a statement on their website which read: “Warrington Wolves is delighted to announce that Joe Bullock has signed a new two-year contract extension.

“The 6ft 5in and 111kg prop has penned a new deal which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2026 season.”

Having made 43 appearances for the club, Bullock looks set to sail past the 50 mark at some point this season and will likely make his 44th appearance for the club on Sunday when Warrington take on St Helens in the Challenge Cup.

Bullock’s extension is a major turn-around from earlier in the season when he was loaned out to Hull FC which some fans saw as him being deemed surplus to requirements but since his return from Humberside the prop has played all three games, even scoring in the victory over Leeds Rhinos in Round Seven.

Bullock said: “I’m very happy to have committed my future here. I’ve had some good chats with Sam [Burgess] and I’m excited about where the future of the club is going.

“I’ve enjoyed my time here ever since I arrived. I love the club, the squad we’ve got here and the structures around us. Sam’s influence around the club is amazing and the rapport he has with the lads is positive.

“I feel he’s really going to help me progress and develop. It’s an exciting opportunity for me.”

The feeling was mutual with Burgess raving about the forward, explaining: “I’m happy Bull [Joe Bullock] has agreed a contract extension with the club.

“He’s a valued part of our pack, a popular figure amongst the playing group and he will be an important player for us in the years ahead.”
