Sheridan back home after coronavirus recovery

Oldham assistant coach Brendan Sheridan has been released from hospital after making a full recovery from the coronavirus.

Sheridan was admitted to the ICU at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield after contracting the virus three weeks ago. He spent two of those three in intensive care, before moving to Ward 20 for the final week.

A message through the Mid Yorkshire Hospital Trust says: “He said he feels very humbled and grateful towards everyone at Pinderfields Hospital, they have all been fantastic.

“He said it’s the hard work and dedication of all the staff at the trust, it is not just a one man band, it’s a lot of team work that goes in to making sure the system works.”

He concluded: “A big thank-you to all the staff on ICU, Ward 20, across the hospital and out in the community for all you are doing to support patients.”

Oldham placed on record their thanks to the staff at Pinderfields Hospital and wish their assistant coach the best for his continued recovery.
