Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield set to publish two more books

Rob Burrow

Leeds Rhinos legends Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrow were once inspiring people through their performances against the likes of Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and St Helens on the biggest stages.

The two won seven Grand Finals together with the Rhinos as well as two Challenge Cups, three World Club Challenges and three League Leaders’ Shields in an amazing 11 year period.

They also won a pair of Harry Sunderland Awards each. In 2007 Burrow claimed his first against St Helens before in 2011 he picked up every vote for the award against St Helens.

Sinfield meanwhile picked up the award in 2009 as well as in 2012 against Warrington Wolves.

After Sinfield’s retirement, Burrow won another Grand Final with the Rhinos in 2017 but these days Burrow always has the support of Sinfield as Burrow goes on another inspiring journey.

Ever since his former teammate and good friend Rob Burrow was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, Sinfield has done everything possible for Burrow and his family but also the wider MND community as the fight goes on against this underfunded disease.

He played one last game for Leeds in January 2020 in front of a sell out crowd alongside Burrow and the rest of the golden generation. The fixture was a testimonial for Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Burrow.

Sinfield then did the original seven in seven challenge prior to running 101 miles in 24 hours before his latest challenge was another seven in seven event which ended at the 2022 World Cup Final between Australia and Samoa at Old Trafford.

But Sinfield has gone beyond physical challenges and wrote his autobiography to raise further money for MND.

It charts his rugby league career but also his fundraisers.

Leeds recently revealed that the book has been a number one bestseller for four weeks in what is being described as an incredible run.

The Rhinos said:

“Kevin Sinfield’s book has been a number 1 bestseller for 4 weeks – an incredible run! Thank you to everyone who bought a copy, for those who haven’t yet what are you waiting for? It’s the perfect read for your summer holidays.”

This came after Burrow released a book of his own in the shape of ‘Too Many Reasons to Live.’

Now though two more books are set to be published with MacMillan’s Children Books.

The first comes out in November and is called With You Every Step.

The website describes it as: “A beautiful gift book for all ages, With You Every Step: A Celebration of Friendship features heartfelt words from Rob and Kevin brought to life with black line art from leading UK illustrators to create an inspiring and hopeful celebration of friendship. The book will explore universal truths and celebrate kindness, empathy, resilience and love.”
