Hull KR only name 20-man squad as transfer rumours swirl

The head coaches of Warrington Wolves and Hull KR have named their 21-man squads ahead of their top-of-the-table clash on Thursday night, however, for Hull KR it is just a 20-man squad.

The Wire have a triple-boost ahead of this one, as Matty Ashton, James Harrison and Jordy Crowther all return to the squad.

Ashton missed their defeat to Salford and win against Hull FC last week due to a minor knock, but is back and will be looking to help his side return to the win column in Round Eleven.

Connor Wrench and Wesley Bruines are both expected to miss another month, as they look to recover from their ankle and hamstring injuries.

Joe Bullock, Cai Taylor-Wray and Tom Whitehead drop out as a result of the three returning.

Meanwhile, Hull KR are off the back of a huge victory over St Helens, winning 40-20 and making a real statement of intent to be right up there in Super League this season.

They’ve named just a 20-man squad for this game, rather than the usual 21.

This comes after reports over the past few days that they’re looking to sign Jack Brown from rivals Hull FC, in a deal that would see Yusuf Aydin go the other way.

The Robins are allowed to leave a spot open for new signings, as long as they inform the RFL of who they plan on taking up the free spot, meaning this could well be the reason for Willie Peters naming just 20.

The only change for the Robins sees Oliver Gildart miss out after being forced to pull out of the game against St Helens before it even started.

Here are the squads in full.
