NRL and World Cup star could be set for huge Super League move

A brilliant spine is vitally important in rugby league and we have seen this is Super League with the likes of Bevan French and Jai Field vital at Wigan Warriors, Blake Austin in red hot form at Leeds Rhinos, Jonny Lomax guiding St Helens around as George Williams finds his best form at Warrington Wolves.

But some of the best spine players in Super League right now are recent recruits from the NRL.

Look at the form of Jake Clifford at Hull FC for instance as he looks like the best halfback in the league.

Or perhaps a rival for that title in the shape of Leigh Leopards star Lachlan Lam. Both men are in great form and subsequently courting interest from NRL clubs for 2024 and beyond.

Brodie Croft is another example at Salford Red Devils. The reigning Man of Steel has been so good he was signed to a mammoth deal by the Red Devils prior to this season.

Thus, Super League clubs will be keeping their eyes on the NRL for spine players to draft in for next year.

Luke Brooks was linked with a move to Leeds Rhinos that never materialised whilst Chad Townsend was reportedly shopped around to Super League clubs with the likes of Leeds, Wigan and Catalans all reportedly interested.

But now a new option has emerged in the shape of World Cup star and Wests Tigers star Adam Doueihi.

The versatile spine player was excellent in the World Cup for Lebannon but has been riddled with injuries.

Either way he would be a brilliant recruit for any Super League side and will be available according to The Mole of Wide World of Sports who has reported that the spine player will be let go by the Tigers.
