Legendary commentator proposes huge four-way swap deal involving Super League star

Everyone loves listening to the voice of Andrew Voss.

The legendary commentator called the World Cup over here and was the voice of St Helens’ legendary World Club Challenge win where Lewis Dodd was the hero sparking widespread NRL interest in the halfback.

Now Vossy has proposed a four way swap deal which would see Lewis Dodd head to the NRL and join Sydney Roosters with Luke Brooks of Wests Tigers his replacement as two other halfbacks complete this huge shift around.

“Sam Walker to the Cowboys, Chad Townsend to the Tigers, Cowboys will pay half of his money to go,” Voss said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.

“Luke Brooks to St. Helens, Lewis Dodd to the Roosters; domino, into domino, into domino, into domino.

“I just think the leaking of the Sam Walker story, I’m the conspiracy theorist here, there’s got to be some reason.”

“Maybe, behind closed doors, there’s a little bit happening at the Cowboys around Chad Townsend, that they’re suddenly thinking, ‘You know what, he’s not the answer next year, we can’t play $850,000 for Chad Townsend’.”

“Lewis Dodd, who wants to come to Australia, with an Australian manager, ends up at the Roosters… there’s all your halfbacks done.”

This comes after St Helens CEO Mike Rush reportedly told Dodd to avoid joining the struggling Tigers.

It was also reported that Dodd wants a move to the NRL at the end of his current contract.
