Family of Bryn Hargreaves flies to the USA in order to find the missing ex-Bradford Bulls and St Helens prop

The family of Bryn Hargreaves has reportedly flown out to the USA in a bid to find former Bradford Bulls and St Helens prop after he went missing in mid-January.

The 36-year-old retired a decade ago, swapping the UK for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, before moving to rural West Virginia.

He lives in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown and was reported missing on Sunday, January 16, with his family and friends desperately trying to find him since then.

The St Helens Star has reported that his mum and brother David have travelled out to the States to help in the search for him, helping to stick up posters in the areas surrounding where he lives.

The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office had previously posted this on their Facebook page in the hope that people come forward with information: “Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a missing Monongalia County man.

“On January 16, 2022, Bryn J. Hargreaves was reported missing to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office.

“Bryn Hargreaves is a 36-year-old male, originally from England but currently resides at the Whisper Creek Apartments in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown, WV.

“It is believed Mr Hargreaves last communicated with family and friends around January 3, 2022.

“Monongalia County Sheriff’s deputies have searched the surrounding area several times including with the assistance of K-9’s but have been unsuccessful locating Mr Hargreaves.

“No individual has been able to give a date or location where he was last seen or what he was wearing, so we are unable to provide a last known location or direction of travel.

“The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to ask for the community’s assistance with trying to locate Mr Hargreaves, who is described as a white male with brown hair, 6’2”, 220 pounds and has a tattoo of a family crest on his right arm.

“Anyone with information contact the Sheriff’s Department at 304-291-7260, or leave private messages on the Sheriff’s Department Facebook page.”

Everyone at Serious About Rugby League is hoping and praying that Hargreaves is found safe and sound.
