Craig Hall accuses Featherstone Rovers of not paying him for testimonial

In January 2023, former Hull KR and Hull FC star Craig Hall celebrated his testimonial at Featherstone Rovers against former club Hull KR.

Hall’s testimonial was a season long event that Featherstone Rovers helped organise with them hosting the final event on November 11th.

A month after this testimonial concluded, Hall left the club to join Doncaster for the 2024 season as he prepared for the Betfred Championship season as did the Featherstone Rovers.

However, as the new Championship season begins, Craig Hall’s official testimonial pages on social media have issued a statement accusing Featherstone Rovers of allegedly not paying him for his testimonial.

On X, the statement read: “It’s been almost 14 months since my testimonial game at Featherstone Rovers and I have still not received payment from the club.

“I have been given multiple dates promising payment, but each date that passes, I’m given a new message or simply ignored. Considering the game was back in January 2023, I’m extremely disappointed in the clubs effort to make any payment since then.

“I was first told, back in October 2023, the payment would be split over two months – those payments were never made. Since then, I have been given more and more dates, along with different reasons as to why payment hasn’t been made. I’ve been patient and understanding, but this is just not good enough!”

Craig Hall started his career with Hull FC in 2007 where he spent four seasons making 77 appearances and scoring 47 tries and notching a total of 250 points.

He then joined Hull KR in 2011 spending four years there before a two season with Wakefield Trinity in 2015 and 2016.

In 2017, he had a season with Toronto Wolfpack as well as a season with Leigh Centurions in 2018 but he would spend time back at Hull KR that year on loan before making the switch permanent for 2019.

In 2020 he would join Featherstone Rovers helping them win the 1895 Cup in 2021. At the end of the 2023 season, he left the club to join Doncaster for the 2024 season as one of the many big signings the club have made for the 2024 Betfred Championship season.
