Challenge Cup Final odds revealed

This weekend we are set to see the first Challenge Cup Final without Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and St Helens since 1986 as Leigh Leopards and Hull KR meet at Wembley.

After a brief move away from Wembley last year as Huddersfield Giants were beaten by Wigan Warriors in a great final at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium.

As these two teams collide on Saturday, Hull KR are looking to win a first Challenge Cup trophy since 1980 and a first trophy since 1985.

Leigh are chasing a first Challenge Cup since their 1971 and a famous win against Leeds.

So it would be a fairytale for both sides but especially for Leigh who won the 1895 Cup Final last year ahead of the Challenge Cup Final.

After some amazing investment from owner Derek Beaumont and a bold rebrand from Leigh Centurions to the Leigh Leopards, they could be on the cusp of fulfilling Beaumont’s dream who will lead the Leopards out at Wembley for the first time on Saturday.

Remarkably, Leigh go into the game above Hull KR in the table which no one would have expected especially after Hull KR’s great start to the season.

Both sides showed that they can win the final with amazing wins over the Super League and World Champions in the case of Leigh Leopards beating St Helens whilst Hull KR dethroned Wigan as the Challenge Cup holders at Headingley in Golden Point.

But who really goes into the final as favourites?

The sponsors of the Challenge Cup and the Super League have shared the odds for the Final.

Leigh are the favourites at 4/7 with Hull KR at 6/4. Hull KR have a four point handicap as well at 20/21 with Leigh at 10/11.

Interestingly, the odds for Leigh winning by a small margin of 12 points or less is the same as a bigger win at 2/1.

Hull KR are 13/5 to win by 12 points or less and 5/1 to win by 13 points or more.
