The Rugby League World Cup draws to an end today as two finals take place at Old Trafford the home of the Super League Grand Final.
First Australia and New Zealand renew rivalries in the women’s decider in what could be the finest game of women’s rugby league we have ever seen.
Then after that, mates become enemies as the likes of Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai battle in Samoa’s first ever World Cup Final in any sport.
They’re coming up against the holders who are chasing a third consecutive title since their final defeat in 2008.
Here’s everything you need to know about the games.
Kick-off times and venue
The women’s final kicks off at 13:15 before the men’s game takes place at 16:00. The finals are being held at Manchester United’s Old Trafford where St Helens recently claimed a fourth consecutive Super League title against Leeds Rhinos in a ground familiar to Super League fans.
TV channel
Coverage for the first final begins at 12:45 on BBC One. Then straight after that coverage of the men’s final starts at 15:30 on the same channel.
Team News
Super League will have representation today.
Samoa will likely play Salford Red Devils’ Tim Lafai and Hull FC’s Ligi Sao with Ken Sio set to miss out.
Meanwhile, in the women’s final potentially Leeds Rhinos bound Georgia Hale, partner of the Rhinos’ latest signing Sam Lisone, will feature for New Zealand.
The big call for Mal Meninga is if he sticks with the side that beat New Zealand which would leave no place for Daly Cherry Evans.
