Sims facing ban for alleged stamp

Ashton Sims charged

Warrington forward Ashton Sims faces a potential two-match ban after being hit with a Grade B charge for an intentional stamp on Widnes winger Patrick Ah Van.

The experienced prop could now miss this Saturday’s Magic Weekend showdown against Wigan and a trip to Leeds the following week.

Wolves captain Chris Hill also received a caution for an elbow on Widnes youngster Danny Walker that ignited a brawl during the match at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Elsewhere, Leeds prop Keith Galloway has been charged with a Grade A high tackle that saw him shown a yellow card in yesterday’s big win against Barrow.
