Youtube set to air two games for free on busy pre-season weekend

Pre-season had it’s second ‘official’ weekend this past Saturday and Sunday with plenty of teams in action and that’s set to be the case again this week.

There’s plenty of games for fans to get stuck into including the testimonial of a legend on Friday before five Super League sides are in action on Sunday with the pick of the bunch being two teams with two wins facing off, as Featherstone head to Wakefield to try defeat a third Super League team.

The fixtures across the weekend domestically are all able to attend but without a digital stream, and on the off chance that streams are made made available then they’ll likely be paid, as the Featherstone and Hull KR fixture last Friday was.

So if you’re unable to attend any matches then there’s still a way you can get a rugby league fix and that’s via Youtube.

With it not involving any of the domestic matches you’d also question the quality of the competition however it’s actually of a great standard, with it coming from the Elite One French league.

Players such as Tony Gigot have returned to their native league to play joining former Super League talents such as Morgan Escare, Hakim Miloudi and even James Maloney.

Two of those stars are in action on Youtube and free to watch with Lezignan set to take on Toulouse Elite and then a fourth vs fifth clash between Albi and Pia also being streamed live on Saturday.

Those fixtures will see the likes of James Maloney and James Segeyaro (Lezignan), Tony Gigot (Albi) and former Catalans Dragons centre Dean Whare (Pia).

The Lezignan Toulouse match will be a 5pm kick off whilst the playoff battle will take place from 6pm onwards, both on Saturday.

The place to catch the action is on the Lezignan Youtube channel and then also Albi’s channel too.

A great option to watch some quality rugby considering there are no English games on Saturday.
