Wigan even money to make it 3 wins in a row

Wigan travel to Castleford for Friday night rugby looking for a 3rd win in a row , a win that would have them sitting right on the shoulder of the top 5 clubs .

The Tigers are on their 1st bad run in quite a while , as they’ve now lost 3 of their last 4 and will have to make do without influential hooker Paul McShane tonight .

Wigan though have suffered some heavy defeats at the Mend a hose Jungle in recent seasons and Cas are always tough to beat at home .

A warm welcome surely awaits Zak Hardaker on his 1st trip back to Castleford since his positive test , and with his form improving 7/1 looks decent odds for him to be named man of the match . Obviously this is only a fun bet market as was proved last night when Phil Clarke shocked everybody by not giving the award to Danny McGuire . It’ll be hard though for Sky to ignore Hardaker if Wigan win .
As for the hosts , it’ll take a big effort from the Tigers forwards for them to win this so Liam Watts would be my pick at 16/1.

As for the match odds , the bookies are finding it hard to split the 2 sides . Castleford are marginally favourites at around 5/6 in places but generally it’s pick em tonight , both sides at 10/11. You can get a best priced 21/20 for Wigan if you shop around.
Wigan should win given the Tigers absentee list ,but for all they were impressive against Catalans last week the French side were equally bad . It’s another game where either result would be no surprise but Wigan to win a tight win would be where I would probably go. The early season crisis talk has gone for now at the Champions but their record at Cas has to be a concern

The return to the side of Joe Burgess has coincided with the Warriors improvement and 10/1 looks the bet of the day for him to score the 1st try , Matautai at 20/1 could be the alternative for the hosts .
Another interesting one could be Ben Flower to score anytime at 17/2, he was the clubs top tryscorer a few weeks ago so surely those odds are too high .
