Warrington star unsure about Rugby League future

He’s been at the Halliwell Jones since 2019, but Jason Clark says he will return home to Australia if his Warrington Wolves contract is not renewed past 2021, the Warrington Guardian has reported.

The former South Sydney Rabbitohs forward is out-of-contract at the end of this season, but it’s unclear whether incoming boss Daryl Powell will want to keep him or not – as well as the 13 other stars not yet committed past 2021.

Having joined from the Rabbitohs ahead of the 2019 season, Clark has played over 50 games for Warrington, but if Powell does not see a role for him, then the forward says he is likely to retire.

“Warrington’s home at the moment but I’m off contract at the end of the year,” he said.

“If I’m not with Warrington, I’ll be going back to Australia and working there but I don’t think I’ll be playing in the NRL again.

“I could be working behind the scenes at Souths or down at the docks with my Dad!”
