Wakefield v Huddersfield: 21-man squads and injury update

Wakefield and Huddersfield have both announced their 21-man squads for Sunday afternoon’s round eight clash at the Mobile Rocket Stadium (KO 3:00pm).

Trinity come into the game having earned their first win of the season last week, beating Hull KR 28-12.

The Giants also notched a victory, their third straight in the league, posting 44 points away at Leigh as they continue to aim for the top six.

Wakefield Trinity

Trinity make one change, as Kyle Wood returns from a knock in place of Olly Ashall-Bott, who has returned to Huddersfield after his loan spell ended. Jordy Crowther (foot), Ryan Hampshire (jaw), Tom Johnstone (head), Jack Croft (ACL), Alex Walker (back), Josh Wood (jaw) and Innes Senior are still unavailable.

Huddersfield Giants

There’s three changes for Huddersfield, with Joe Wardle among those returning after recovering from a  hamstring problem that has hampered him throughout this season. Olly Ashall-Bott could make his Giants debut against the club he has just returned from after a loan spell, while Jack Ashworth is also back in contention. Luke Yates drops out through suspension, while Oliver Wilson (Bradford) and Sam Wood (Dewsbury) are two of six players who have joined Championship clubs on loan.
