Wakefield Trinity Ladies Rugby League have completed the signings of Jade Key, Natalina Romano, Cassy and Leonie Lawson.
The four sign from Humberside club Hull FC for the start of the 2022 season, bolstering the pack even further ahead of the new season.
Cassy, who joined the Arlie Birds in 2018, was one of the first names they added to their ranks, gaining a starting spot from the off. Following a successful stint, she was picked for Yorkshire before becoming Hull’s captain in the same year.
Cassy is joined at the club by her sister, Leonie, who has also made the switch to West Yorkshire, while Jade and Natalina both followed suit in the offseason.
The quartet follow Phoebe Evans signing on the dotted line after her switch from Sheffield Hawks.
After positive spells of form throughout her youth with both Huddersfield Giants and Trinity’s under-16 side, the youngster gained regional recognition, playing in the England Talent Pathway programme for Central Yorkshire.
However, it is new beginnings (well, sort of) as Evans embarks on the next stage of her career, heading back to where it all started.
“I’m extremely pleased to sign for Trinity because I am back where my league journey started,” she explained.
“During my time with the under-16s, I got on really well with the team and the coaches, so I was determined to get back.
“Also, seeing the goals and aspirations of the team inspires me to be part of their achievements this season.”
