Video footage leaked of Hull KR forward Korbin Sims’ ‘dangerous and reckless contact’ with referee

Korbin Sims has had it tough the past day.

Upon announcing his retirement at the end of the season, the Hull KR forward will have wanted a massive send-off this weekend in his final game.

Unfortunately, that last chance has been denied by the Disciplinary Match Review Panel which has banned the Fijian International for three games.

Following the latest round of Betfred Super League fixtures, the Match Review Panel also issued the following sanctions:

Korbin Sims (Hull KR) – Grade C Contact with Match Official – 3 Match Penalty Notice
Romain Navarette (Toulouse Olympique) – Grade C Head Butt – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Liam Watts (Castleford Tigers) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Dean Whare (Catalans Dragons) – Grade B Shoulder Charge – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Jack Ormondroyd (Salford Red Devils) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 0 Match Penalty Notice
The following player was handed a caution:

Ethan Havard (Wigan Warriors) – Dangerous Throw

Video footage has now been leaked, however, that saw Sims crash into referee Chris Kendall following a melee that occurred.

Sims isn’t the only one to be leaving Craven Park at the end of the year with Brad Takairangi and Albert Vete also moving on.

Meanwhile, long standing Hull KR star Ben Crooks leaves after four seasons, with another first teamer in Will Maher heading through the exit door alongside Charlie Cavanaugh after a solitary Super League appearance joined.

Four more youngsters will be leaving, too, with those: Adam Rusling, Nathan Cullen, Bailey Dawson and Tom Wilkinson.

Here’s the list in full: Tom Garratt, Korbin Sims, Albert Vete, Brad Takairangi, Ben Crooks, Will Maher, Charlie Cavanaugh, Adam Rusling, Nathan Cullen, Bailey Dawson and Tom Wilkinson.
