Toulouse tie down exciting forward despite Super League interest

Justin Sangare has signed a new deal with Toulouse that will take him until the end of the 2022 Super League season.

Originally from Bagatelle – one of the districts of Toulouse – Sangare has been at his hometown club for all of his career after progressing through the Toulouse academy.

Sangare was approached by Sylvain Houles in 2016 to play in the Elite French League One at just 17 years of age

At just 23, Sangare already has almost 50 Championship appearances under his belt and was approached by several big Super League clubs before penning a new deal.

Sangare said: “I am very proud to extend to TO XIII and I am as determined as ever for next season in the Super League. Let’s go boys!”

The President of Toulouse, Bernard Sarrazain was over the moon to tie Sangare to the club: “Keeping Justin at Toulouse was an important objective, on the one hand because he is a product of the club and on the other hand, to reward his superb season.

“I am very happy to see him continue the adventure with us and I am convinced that we have not yet seen his full potential.”
