We may already be in midst of 2023 but there are still some top players looking for a club this year.
In fact, there are over 20 players down under still without a club for 2023 including William Kei.
The former Wests Tigers centre left the club last year and is now in need of a new home which opens the door for Super League and Championship clubs to make a move for him.
So, here is three teams who could try and sign Kei.
Catalans Dragons
The obvious club is the Catalans Dragons. The French side are in need of a centre after Samisoni Langi left for Wakefield Trinity and Dean Whare moved to the Elite One Championship. They have signed Adam Keighran but missed out on Featherstone Rovers’ Joey Leilua. Thus, signing someone like Kei may be a good option for the Dragons.
Halifax Panthers
Halifax coach and former Warrington Wolves man Simon Grix confirmed that the club were still looking to make signings with the club down to 24 players for 2023. They also lost Joe Arundel just before Christmas which would mean Kei would be the ideal replacement too.
Toulouse Olympique
The French club have recruited wisely for 2023 after relegation but one or two further signings wouldn’t go amiss especially after the number of players they have lost especially in the backs like ex-Wigan Warriors man and Featherstone Rovers bound centre Chirs Hankinson. So, Kei would be a smart buy.
