Three clubs pay tribute to Andrew Farrell including Salford Red Devils

Last night rugby league was struck by the awful news that former Huddersfield Giants coach Andrew Farrell had passed away.

Now three clubs, other than the Giants who sadly had to break the news last night, have paid tribute to him including the club he helped guide to the Grand Final: Salford Red Devils.

They said: “Everyone at the Club are saddened to hear about the passing of former Salford Red Devils wrestling coach, Andrew Farrell.

“Andrew played an integral role in our road to the 2019 Grand Final. All our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.”

Meanwhile, Keighley Cougars also paid tribute to Farrell after his sad passing:

“Everyone here at the Keighley Cougars joins the Rugby League world in marking the passing of Andrew Farrell.

“Our thoughts and condolences at this difficult time go to Andrew’s family, friends, colleagues, and teammates.”

Lastly, his passing was very close to home for one club in the shape of Sheffield Eagles due to the fact Izaac Farrell and Joel Farrell ply their trade with the Eagles.

They stated: “Very sad news from last night. Our thoughts and condolences are with Izaac Farrell, Joel Farrell and Anthony Farrell and the rest of Andrew’s family and friends.
