The five most underrated players currently in Super League

Super League is full of stars so it is no surprise that some of them don’t get the credit they deserve.

So, here’s the five most underrated players currently in Super League.

5. Rhyse Martin – Leeds Rhinos
One of the best backrows in Super League, it is remarkable that he is yet to be named in the Super League Dream Team. A great tackler, an attacking threat, he has skill too and is perhaps the league’s best goal kicker.

4. Brad Singleton – Wigan Warriors
Undoubtedly a top Super League prop, he never gets thrown into discussions about the best forwards in the league despite winning the Grand Final and Challenge Cup multiple times. He is the ideal starting prop.

3. Stefan Ratchford – Warrington Wolves
Truly versatile, the 2018 Harry Sunderland Award winner, a trusted player, a leader and he has a real touch of class to him as well.

2. Liam Sutcliffe – Hull FC
A hat-trick scorer in the play-offs last year, a former Super League Champion, a key to the Challenge Cup success Leeds enjoyed in 2020 and was the hero of their 2017 Super League semi-final win. Versatile too, a real strike player but also trusted when times get tough, he is a major signing for Hull FC.

1. Liam Farrell – Wigan Warriors
A four time Super League Champion, a double winner in 2o13, a Harry Sunderland Award winner and somehow still one of the best backrows in Super League despite being over a decade into his career. Yet, he is not often included in discussions over Super League’s greatest ever side.
