Super League Round Nine Predictions: Huge results at the bottom and top as Champions challenged

Super League Round Nine is nearly upon us.

It is set to be another big weekend, especially after Easter, but who will be the winners and losers this weekend.

Salford Red Devils 20-12 Castleford Tigers
Castleford have shown recently under Andy Last that they have grit and are difficult to beat. But the Red Devils have the attacking tools to defeat anyone and they should make it back-to-back wins.

Warrington Wolves 20-22 Wigan Warriors
This should be an absolute classic of a game but sadly injuries and suspensions will have an impact and maybe work against the Wolves in their biggest game of the season so far and perhaps they will come up short against a Wigan side riding high after defeating St Helens.

Leeds Rhinos 24-10 Hull FC
The Rhinos lost to the Black and Whites at Headingley earlier this season but this is a chance for them to remedy that wrong. They are in better shape now than then and attacking well again. Against a struggling Hull side who have suffered a fair few injuries, the Rhinos should edge it.

Hull KR 10-12 St Helens
Hull KR could be the real deal in 2023 especially with the way they defeated Hull FC last week. This will be a real test against the Champions but having lost some key forwards to bans, they might come up short.

Huddersfield Giants 20-18 Catalans Dragons
Two of last year’s top four also meet after close defeats recently. The Giants need to end their habit of losing close games but at home against the Dragons they might just edge it especially as the French side deal with injuries.

Wakefield Trinity 10-20 Leigh Leopards
Many felt this would be a relegation four-pointer but Leigh are looking more like a play-off contender and could underline that with their fourth win of the season. Away it could be tough against a desperate Wakefield side but the Leopards should have enough.
