Super League fixture rearranged

Huddersfield Giants’ Betfred Super League fixture against Leigh Centurions due to take place on Friday 17th September at 7:45pm has been rearranged and will now take place on Sunday 19th September at 3:00pm.

Huddersfield currently sit ninth in the Super League table with six wins from 18 games, whilst Leigh are winless and heading for relegation.

The Giants take on Leeds at Headingley tonight in a bid to revitalise their play-off ambitions, whilst the Centurions host Salford on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Warrington Wolves’ fixture with Catalans Dragons has been postponed due to COVID-19.

Within the last 24 hours four members of Catalans Dragons’ essential staff have tested positive for COVID-19 – three of them this morning shortly before the squad were due to fly to England. Under the RFL’s Multiple Cases Framework, the Dragons will now await further instruction from the Multiple Cases Group.

Match tickets purchased can be transferred to the Wolves’ next home fixture against St Helens. If not transferred, tickets will remain valid for the rearranged fixture.

Consideration will be given to rearrangement, although the Betfred Super League table will again be determined by win points percentage to allow for the possibility of not all fixtures being fulfilled.
