Star SACKED after club finally has enough

St George Illawarra have sacked prop Paul Vaughan following the house party scandal which breached COVID-19 regulations.

Dragons sources told the Herald on Tuesday morning that the club has had enough and terminated Vaughan’s contract when they met for the virtual board meeting.

The Herald revealed that the party was not his first misdemeanour at the club and so officials were confident that such a termination could go ahead.

Vaughan was slapped with an eight-game ban and a $50,000 fine by the NRL on Monday night, along with 12 other St George players.

However, the Dragons’ board will also impose its own financial sanctions against the remaining 12 players involved.
