Sponsors install Wigan as Grand Final Jollies

Super league sponsors Betfred have installed Wigan as 4/7 favourites to be crowned Champions at Old Trafford a week today when they take on Warrington.

This will be the 3rd Grand Final between the 2 clubs in 6 years , with Wigan winning in 2013 and 2016 , and the bookies think this may end up the same way .

Shaun Wane’s side are 4/7 to lift the trophy in his last game in charge before heading off to join the Scottish Rugby Union set up , with Warrington 6/4 .
Wire are at present a bigger price to lift the trophy than they are to win it in 80 minutes , they are currently 5/4 to win the tie without the need for golden point extra time , with the Warriors 8/11 . I’m not sure the 6/4 will last too long as you usually get bigger odds to win the game in 80 minutes .Wire fans will have no problem with being underdogs after their sensational win at runaway leaders St Helens on Thursday .

It is 25/1 that the game finishes level after 80 minutes .

In what is sure to be a very tight game best value for Wire fans could be them getting a 4 point start on the handicap at even money , Wigan are even money conceding the 4 point start .

This will be the 6th meeting between the 2 clubs this season with Wigan winning 3 , the only tie at a neutral venue saw Wigan winning comfortably at magic weekend .
