Shocking footage has emerged of Jarryd Hayne and Parramatta Eels star Nathan Brown being hassled on their way home from a night out.
Brown is seen being helped into a car by a female companion as a nearby road worker yells a tirade of abuse at the Parramatta man.
Brown was hit with abuse such as “little b—ch” and a “dog” and was yelled at to jump out of the car as the road worker holds an object and called him a “sick c—”.
Hayne asks the workers “what’s up?” as Brown’s car drives off with security intervening from the Albion Hotel.
Former NRL superstar Hayne, meanwhile, will face a third trial on sexual assault allegations after recently being released from jail after nine months when his conviction was quashed in the Supreme Court.
Brown had played reserve grade earlier in the day before meeting Hayne at the hotel for dinner with their partners.
An Eels official says Brown denied earlier reports of a physical altercation.
“There was definitely no physical violence,” said an Eels source.
“Jarryd got hassled by a road worker and Nathan stood up for his friend.”
Hayne, 33, had been in jail for nearly ten months having been sentenced to at least three years and nine months in prison for the alleged sexual assault of a woman back in 2018.
