When Catalans Dragons were trailing by 18 points with just five minutes left in their Magic Weekend fixture against St Helens, not many people believed they could pull off a stunning victory.
But, tries from Dean Whare, Gil Dudson and then Sam Kasiano on the hooter sent the game into extra time when the French side looked dead and buried.
Of course, James Maloney kept his cool to send the Dragons back to France with an incredible two points, but even star fullback Sam Tomkins did not believe it was possible.
Sky Sports pundit Jenna Brooks rewatched the game back and couldn’t believe what she was seeeing: “Just watching the final stages of the Saints Catalans game again…Absolutely incredible! 30-12 down with 4 mins to go…Everyone wrote them off…Except for the 13 out there.”
Tomkins himself was brutally honest in response: “Make that 12. I’d pretty much written us off too.”
