Sam Burgess stars again as Rabbitohs dominate Dragons

It’s not been a bad start to the season for Sam Burgess and his South Sydney Rabbitohs team.

They have today brushed aside the challenge of St George Illawarra to make it two wins from two, with Slammin’ Sam crossing the try-line twice.

Having played a pivotal role in last week’s defeat of Sydney Roosters, Burgess again showed why he is widely regarded as the best forward in the world with a dominant performance.

Taking on his England teammates James Graham and Gareth Widdop, the latter switching positions to play full-back, Sam was at the heart of the game-changing moments after a tight first half.

Having gone in 12-6 behind at the break, Burgess crashed over moments into the second half and the Bunnies took control from this point.

They proved too quick for the Dragons, scoring 26 points in 26 minutes with Sam again crashing over for Souths final four-pointer.

St George got a late consolation but they were outclassed in the second half as Wayne Bennett continued his fine start to life in charge of the Rabbitohs.
