Paul Rowley explains why Salford Red Devils were able to beat Castleford Tigers

Salford Red Devils were able to overcome Castleford Tigers tonight at the AJ Bell Stadium with a 30-14 victory.

The Red Devils were able to register back to back wins for the first time in the 2022 Super League season and head coach Paul Rowley was overjoyed with the result.

“I’m really satisfied,” Rowley said on Sky Sports after the game.

“We spoke before about transitioning performances into points and to do the double on Castleford is really rewarding.

“I don’t think we played as particularly well as we have been doing but it shows we are a hard working team and that beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard.

“We feel every game is a must win because we are competitors and we are winners, but we want to get better and progress as a group and we are doing.”

Rowley identified some big players from the win.

“Sneydy (Marc Sneyd) came up with a big play, Joe Burgess scored three great tries, Morgan (Escare) made some good touches and Jack Ormondroyd did some big minutes.”
