He’s been rumoured to have been heading back to Australia with immediate effect due to the imminent arrival of George Williams at Warrington, but Gareth Widdop is going nowhere.
That’s according to his current boss Steve Price who, when quizzed about the future of the England international live on Sky Sports by pundit Jenna Brooks, denied any such move.
“It’s totally incorrect (Widdop moving),” Price said.
“I love coaching Gareth and he’s been in great form.
“There’s no truth in that rumour whatsoever.”
It’s seemingly poured cold water over what had been the number one transfer rumour.
