Mose Masoe Fund to reap the benefits of lovely fund raising effort by Castleford Tigers Foundation

The rugby league family is the biggest and kindest one there is. Over the last 24 months, we’ve seen plenty of evidence for that.

The way we’ve come through the pandemic as a sport is itself remarkable as is the way the rugby league world and beyond has banded together around Rob Burrow and Mose Masoe.

Every week there appears to be a new lovely gesture from someone out there in support of either Burrow or Masoe as they face the toughest periods of their lives and this week it’s Castleford’s turn.

Today, Castleford’s club photographer Melanie Allatt is having 14 inches of her hair cut off to raise money for Masoe’s fund as well as Castleford Tigers Foundation’s Dementia Programme – a lovely gesture given the problems faced by some ex-pros as brought to light be Bobbie Goulding this week.

Topping it all off, her hair will be donated to the Little Princess Fund to be used in a real hair wig for a child.

You can donate and spur Melanie on here.

Ultimately, she and the Tigers as a club should be incredibly proud of their willingness to help others not least the likes of Masoe after the trials and tribulations he’s had to face over the last two years,
