McNamara gives update on Langi’s condition

Catalans Dragons Head Coach Steve McNamara has confirmed Samisoni Langi has gone straight to hospital after being stretchered off during their Golden Point win over St Helens.

Langi was on the receiving end of a high tackle from Saints forward Agnatius Paasi in the closing stages of the first period of extra time.

The Catalans centre was down for a long time before being stretchered off.

McNamara said: “He is not great at all. We are quite concerned. He has gone straight to hospital.

“We were due to fly back tonight, but now we have some logistical problems, but we will make sure he has the best care and attention.

“Hopefully it is not too serious. But it doesn’t look like he will be flying back with us tonight.”
