Warrington ran out 21-8 winners against Wigan, but there were a number of calls that seemed to rankle fans – both partisan and neutral supporters. So, how did social media react?
The main talking point was the try scored by Jake Mamo, with Josh Charnley seemingly striking Wigan’s Liam Marshall in the head before Mamo raced clear.
One supporter was fine with the contact.
Yes! accidental contact to the head, player running at pace to get to the ball, he can’t just disappear! Thought the player milked it! poor refereeing again (it is stifling the game). I don’t get the set restart as there was occasions for both sides that it didn’t make sense.

Another called for the game to be stopped.
Game should have been stopped, contact to the head.

Another echoed that sentiment.
Contact to the head?

A different fan called on Mamo to show sportsmanship.
Would have liked the commentators to call that what it was – Mamo had the opportunity to show total sportsmanship and didn't – I know most would carry on but this game is losing support.

One fan was baffled by some of the refereeing decisions in general.

Wigan boss Adrian Lam came under fire.

If that’s “the team Wigan want to be”, is it any wonder their fans are disgruntled?

Another was confused as to how Lam believed Wigan were the better side.
Hes right about the try. Hicks had a shocker there but as for being the better side where did they ever look like scoring? Never got liam farrell involved and there other forwards dont make enough yards.

The referees also came under fire.
Well said, refs should be held to account for poor performances

I'm not a Wigan lover but definatly badly done to tonight. Refereeing is simply not good enough.
