Luke Gale reveals all about where his future lies

There has been mounting speculation throughout 2021 about the future of Leeds Rhinos star Luke Gale.

Following a less than successful season, the former Bradford Bulls and Castleford Tigers halfback has been subject to an intense amount of speculation – particularly after conceding the captaincy earlier in the year.

That speculation has only grown as Leeds have brought in Aidan Sezer and Blake Austin for next season and beyond.

But Gale is determined to earn a place in the Rhinos side, stressing that he will be at Headingley in 2022 when asked the question about his future live on Sky Sports last night.

“I’m contracted at Leeds, I thought I’d get asked this question,” Gale joked.

“We’ve got two good players coming in with Aidan Sezer and Blake Austin, but Austin can play anywhere and adapt so he’s obviously a great addition to the team.

“If it works it could be a stroke of genius as I see myself playing with Sezer and Austin.

“Me and Sezer play left edge so day one pre-season we will have to see who will play there.”
