Leigh Leopards come up with fantastic idea for trip to Catalans Dragons

Leigh Leopards are back in Super League in 2023.

They have already made a number of key signings ahead of the new season.

They have brought in former Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos fullback Zak Hardaker, Huddersfield Giants centre Ricky Leutele and Castleford Tigers playmaker Gareth O’Brien.

They start their season at home against Salford Red Devils on Friday 17th February prior to a difficult trip to France to take on 2021 Betfred Super League Grand Finalists Catalans Dragons.

Set to be a big battle and a test of the calibre of Leigh’s squad early in the season, it is also an exciting away day but of course one that is difficult to get to.

So, the Leopards are looking into chartering a flight to allow fans the chance to travel with the squad to Perpignan.

They took to Twitter to say: “Planning on attending the Catalan fixture in Feb? We are looking into chartering a flight, allowing an exclusive opportunity to travel with the squad and coaches, so you can support them every step of the journey.

It is a brilliant idea from the forward thinking Leopards and could boost their chances of victory in France.
