Leeds Rhinos have made a number of exciting signings going into 2023.
They’re expected to make one more signing to play centre and they are tipped to sign Leigh Leopards star Nene MacDonald for next season.
It seems that their squad numbers won’t be confirmed until this signing is settled so that he can take the number four shirt.
However, the Rhinos are in pre-season in their new gear which sports every players’ new squad number for the season meaning many shirt numbers have been revealed via pictures of the players training online.
The latest to be seemingly confirmed is new signing Luke Hooley.
The former Wakefield Trinity man has been a star fullback in the Betfred Championship for the Batley Bulldogs.
He shared a picture on his Instagram story where he is sporting the number 21 shirt formerly held by Morgan Gannon who, based on pictures yesterday, has moved to the number 20 shirt in 2023.
The shirt was previously worn by a star fullback at Headingley in the shape of Richie Mathers when the Rhinos won their inaugural Grand Final against Bradford Bulls in 2004.
It has also been worn former fullback Ash Golding in 2019 prior to his move to Huddersfield Giants ahead of the 2020 campaign.
Here is every squad number that has been spotted from the Rhinos so far for 2023:
