Leeds Rhinos give further update on Zak Hardaker’s medical situation

Leeds Rhinos are pleased to confirm that Zak Hardaker has been given the relevant specialist clearance to return to training and hopes to be available for selection in the near future.

Liam Sutcliffe (knee), Alex Mellor (sternum), Corey Johnson (knee),  Richie Myler (groin), David Fusitu’a (knee) and Tom Holroyd (ankle) have all now completed rehabilitation periods and will return to team training with a view to being available for selection.

Jack Walker and Harry Newman (both lower limb) are progressing well with the medical and performance staff, both expected to return to full team training in early June.

After further specialist advice Aidan Sezer (groin) continues his rehabilitation and is likely to return to team training within the next 4 weeks. Tom Briscoe has now had surgery on a high ankle sprain suffered in the round 10 clash against Toulouse, this will require a 10-12 week period of rehabilitation.
