Lee Radford spotted at stadium ahead of reported next move

After only three games this season, Lee Radford left his post as Castleford Tigers Head Coach.

The decision comes after three defeats to start the season and only six points in their last two games though even that try was a penalty try with no legitimate grounding.

The Tigers have only really produced 40 minutes of good rugby this season.

They clawed back from 32-6 down to push Hull FC all the way at 32-30 in Round One.

Following the announcement in March, the former Hull FC boss made the following statement:

“With the club and myself heading in different directions, I think making this early call will be the correct one. Hopefully, it can kick start their season starting this Friday away at Huddersfield.

“I’d like to thank on record the fans, management, coaching staff, and players and wish them all the best for 2023 and beyond.”

It was widely reported that part of the reason behind his sudden departure was the fact he had a job lined up for 2024 down under after impressing as assistant coach for Samoa during the World Cup.

Jon Wilkin claimed that he had a job lined up down under meanwhile Australian news outlet Wide World of Sports reported that there were a number of suitors for him down under.

Radford has now been spotted down under at the Magic Weekend at the Suncorp Stadium ahead of this expected move down under.
