Super League supporters were left shocked when it was speculated earlier in the week that Wigan are reportedly chasing Wakefield halfback Jacob Miller.
And, now outgoing Warriors head coach Adrian Lam remained coy about the whole deal.
“Our club is always linked with players and this is no different,” Lam said.
“If there’s anything to add as time goes on we’ll say something but there’s been no movement on my side or the club’s side regarding that.”
Miller still remains under contract at Wakefield which would mean any transfer would require a fee, but with the likes of Jackson Hastings and Oliver Gildart coming off contract, the Warriors may well have spare cash to spend.
Wigan have already signed NRL forward duo Kaide Ellis and Patrick Mago as well as London winger Abbas Miski, while Iain Thornley has yet to be confirmed.
