Kevin Brown and Paul Sculthorpe write off Super League side

Right now Wakefield Trinity are at the foot of the Super League table with 10 defeats from 10.

In eight games they have only scored one try or less and in five games have failed to score at all.

However, they are only two wins away from West Yorkshire rivals Castleford Tigers in 11th.

Despite this Kevin Brown and Paul Sculthorpe have written them off for relegation in The Last Tackle Podcast.

As they summed up teams’ first 10 games, Kevin Brown said:

“I’ve been surprised with Saints. When they won that World Club Challenge and how good they’ve been, only winning a handful of games is unlike Saints but for me I still think they’re the team to beat. I still think they’re the favourites when it comes to they can perform.

“Wakefield I think they’re gone.”

Sculthorpe then added: “I agree with the last comment, I just can’t see where Wakefield are going to get a win.”

However, he did add that he has been surprised in a good way by Hull KR:

“A surprising one for me and a nice one as well because what we want is strength in competition across the board and Hull KR are that.

“I think they’ve been outstanding, I think they’re third in the Super League table at the moment and the longer that goes on then the more confidence they’ll gain.

“I think they can truly go out into games now thinking that they can beat anybody.”
