Josh Griffin update as he goes in for surgery

Josh Griffin suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in Hull’s Challenge Cup semi-final loss to St Helens at the weekend.

And, the FC centre has taken to Instagram to post how difficult the past few days have been.

“Absolutely gutted to announce that my season has come to end,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I will have an operation tomorrow on my Achilles tendon and begin my long recovery phase.

“The last few days have been mentally some of the toughest of my life but I’m determined to come back from this both physically and mentally stronger.

“I’ve got an amazing support system around me to help me do so.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me to show their support it’s helped more than you will ever know.

“See you all in 2022.”
