Ian Watson makes sly dig about potential Castleford target

Huddersfield’s Kenny Edwards may well be set for a move to Castleford, Yorkshire Live has revealed.

But, head coach Ian Watson has called on some players to learn their lessons from the past if they want to have a future at the John Smith’s Stadium.

“There’s only so many times that people can be given a chance and they don’t learn lessons from what’s happened before in their career,” Watson said.

“What you’ve got to do is learn, learn from mistakes, learn from the last game you played and move forward in the right manner.

“What we want at Huddersfield is people who are going to move forward and do the right things and set the right examples for some of the young lads and push them on to be the best that they can be.

“We do that by having the right environment and it takes time to build that.

“I’ve made no secret since I’ve come in that things need to change moving forward and generally, that’s personnel changes, to get the right people in and build a team.”

Watson was coy when asked if Edwards would be a Giants player in the foreseeable future.

“That’s something me and Kenny have spoken about so we’ll keep that between us.”
