Hull FC star out for six weeks

Hull FC’s star centre Jake Connor will miss the next six weeks of the season with a knee injury.

The England international picked up the injury in the first-half of the Black and Whites victory against Huddersfield Giants on Sunday.

Connor spent a large proportion of last season sidelined with a hamstring injury and his absence is a blow for FC head coach Lee Radford.

“Jake had his scan yesterday and we’ve lost him for up to six weeks,” Radford told the club’s official website.

“We’re disappointed to lose one of our key men but he’s come back from injury before and not let it affect him long-term.

“Hopefully we’ll have him back out on the field in and around the busy Easter period, I’m just dissatisfied for him and the team as his start to the season has been strong.”
