Hull FC make decision on whether to appeal Jake Connor and Andre Savelio bans

Hull FC have made a decision on whether or not to appeal the bans given to Jake Connor and Andre Savelio.

The duo were banned following the Black and Whites’ fixture with Wakefield Trinity and now Hull have decided not to appeal the decisions.

Jake Connor was given his marching orders on Sunday afternoon by referee Marcus Griffiths as Hull FC narrowly overcame Wakefield Trinity at Belle Vue.

With the match delicately poised with 14 minutes remaining, Connor hit Trinity’s Lee Gaskell high as the halfback made a break down the middle of the field.

Connor was subsequently sent off, giving Wakefield the field position necessary to reduce the deficit to just four points at 16-12.

That was how the score finished as some steely Hull defence ensured the home side were kept out.

Savelio, meanwhile, was given a two-match ban for use of the knees in the victory.

It means that both will sit out Hull’s fixture against St Helens this weekend, with Savelio also absent for the Black and Whites’ game against Salford Red Devils the week after, too.
