Hull FC and St Helens chasing highly-rated forward

Bradford Bulls prop forward Ebon Scurr is reportedly attracting attention from Hull FC and St Helens.

Scurr, 21, had been a standout performer for the West Yorkshire side in 2021 despite suffering from injury and has caught the eye of those Super League sides.

That’s according to the Telegraph & Argus which has revealed that Bradford captain Steve Crossley wants to keep hold of the youngster as the Bulls prepare for another assault at Super League promotion.

Crossley told the Telegraph and Argus: “If it wasn’t for his injury problems last season, I think Ebon probably would have won the Championship Young Player of the Year award he was nominated for.

“He raised our expectations of him and when he was selected, he made a great impact off the bench.

“He gives everyone a lift with the little things he does, like making two carries in a set for example, and he causes real damage in the opposition’s defence.

“I thought he was unlucky to fall short of winning that award but I’m more excited now about next year, as hopefully he can have a full year with us to show what he’s made of.”

Bradford, meanwhile, finished fifth in the 2021 Championship season and will be looking for more in 2022 under John Kear.
