Haggerty tells Leigh to “enjoy their time”

Leigh Centurions Interim Head Coach Kurt Haggerty has said he has told his side to enjoy their time together in the final four games of the season.

The Centurions currently lie bottom of the Super League, having managed just one win all season, but a decision has not been made yet on whether or not relegation will happen this year.

Whatever happens, Haggerty is urging his squad to make the most of the time left in the 2021 season.

When asked about what message he would give to the players, he said: “Enjoy it. Lets enjoy our time together.

“We have three or four weeks together. We don’t know where the club will be next year, whether we be in the Super League or the Championship.

“Most of the lads will have either signed elsewhere, or don’t have a contract, so we just want to enjoy it together.

“The resilience they are showing at the moment in their performances is unbelievable in my opinion, given everything that is going on.”
