He’s been one of the most sought-after free agents in Super League history, but George Williams is set to settle a move to an English club in the next week.
On the Sky Sports Golden Point Podcast, the halfback revealed that his future is likely to be sorted in the very near future.
“I’m not too sure, hopefully it won’t be too long away,” Williams said.
“Within the next week it would be nice, I still haven’t got my future settled which I’d like to do pretty soon and crack on with the season.
“I want to play some good rugby and get in that England team.”
Williams also stated that three clubs were in for him.
“There were only three clubs I’ve spoken to and I think everybody knows who they are.
“It’s up in the air at the moment, I’ve got to sort a few more things.
“Contracts aren’t always easy, you’ve got to go back and forth. I’m not 100% just yet.”
